Samuel Kirszenbaum has been taking photographs of people since he got his first camera for his 9th birthday. He usually photographs his subjects in available light conditions, sometimes using artificial sources. He is interested in people’s environments, both at home and at work, where the subject can reveal him or herself.

He is one of the founders of VoxPop magazine and he is the deputy editor and the director of photography for the magazine. He is also interested in the history of the medium, especially from the point of view of the market in the United States.
